AUSABLE ACRES
In the Town of Jay there is a neighborhood named Ausable Acres. It is a “development” but done in a wilderness way, mostly wooded lots with chalet style homes. There is a large network of hike/ski trails that weave throughout the community. This entire area was logged a while back and the trails follow the remaining logging roads. The trails are well marked and maintained, by Ausable Acres residents. There are many logging roads in here but not all are marked trails. However it is fairly easy to distinguish between the used and unused trails.
